So you've found your compatible match and now what? You're dreaming about the next steps in your relationship and you hope that your partner is on the same page as you, but you'd better put on the brakes until you know for certain that your partner has the same dreams and goals for the relationship that you do.

You need to put the brakes on if you are starting to talk about marriage and your partner is not ready. Even though you think that you and your partner are a compatible match, you still need to take the time that is needed to get to know each other and grow together as a couple before you decide to tie the knot. If you start to pressure your partner to get married, he or she might get frightened if he or she is not ready to commit and then leave the relationship. Then you'll be left with nothing but regret for your hurried actions and memories to live with. You should take a chance at love and propose to your partner if you think he or she is the right one and you love this person unconditionally with all that is in you, but you need to propose at the right time when you're both ready. You cannot control your partner's response, so all proposals are risky, but you can lessen the risk if you do your homework and try to ascertain your partner's feelings of love before you take the plunge.

You need to put the brakes on when you are physically attracted to your partner and you don't want to become obnoxious and you know that your partner is shy. If your partner has expressed a desire to wait for marriage to experience physical intimacy, then you need to honor that or you should find another partner, even though you do feel that this person is a compatible match. Physically forcing yourself on your partner is never a good thing and should not be tolerated under any circumstances. You need to be in control of yourself and your emotions and your behaviors so that you don't hurt your partner or anyone else.

You need to put the brakes on when you are out partying and you feel that you have had too much alcohol to drink. You need to be responsible for yourself and everyone else on the road when you drink and drive. When you have a relationship with a romantic partner, the scenario becomes even more important because you now have someone else infinitely more dear to you, whom you consider a compatible match, that you are responsible for in regard to your actions and attitudes and all types of crazy behaviors. Be mature in your actions and attitudes and you will be fine.

When it comes to controlling your partner, put the brakes on. We do not have any right to control another human being. The only person that we have a right to control is ourselves and we must always strive to be in complete control of our body, soul and spirit. When you are out of control in any way as it pertains to your body, soul and spirit, you are negatively affecting your world, which encompasses you, your romantic partner, your friends and family and then further out into the circle, acquaintances and then strangers. We can't be foolish and say that our individual actions and attitudes affects the whole world, but they do affect our own little circle of influence and we always need to be conscious of that fact and strive to do our best to have the most positive impact upon our world.
