Hiking With Single Doctors

It was a beautiful spring morning when I decided to organize a hike for my friends. For single doctors like me, an adventure sport is a rarity due to our erratic routines and hectic lifestyle. When I invited my buddies, I definitely was not expecting a huge number of turn out. Luckily, the hiking day was on a holiday and several single doctors brought their friends to join the bandwagon.

On the momentous day, fifty-odd people, mostly single doctors, turned up for the hike. Since, I had already specified the necessities to bring along; we were all set to begin our trip by seven sharp. The crisp air, gorgeous greens and the soft sunlight certainly helped in getting us super-charged for the day.

Our target was to reach atop a nearby hill of three thousand meters, take a break and come downhill by four in the evening. We set off at a jaunty pace and managed to reach the top in good time. The hike uphill was pretty stiff, yet many physically fit single doctors managed to reach the top quicker than others. The other friends followed at a much slower pace enjoying the path as well as getting to know each other on the way. I spoke with many of the invitees and some of us hit it off really well by the time we reached the peak. We had a light lunch that we had brought along as we were ravenous by that time. After playing a couple of quiz and enactment games we decided to climb down to get back in time. Although, we hated the idea of returning, most of the single doctors had to check their serious patients as we are almost always on call. When we finally returned to my place, I invited the group for another hike at a later date and not surprisingly most of them agreed.

To this day, we continue to hike at different locations and my hiking group has grown five-folds since then. Clearly for me, hiking turned out to be a healthy and cool way to meet people and have a great time doing so.
