When I woke up it was pitch dark and I could not figure out where I was. Slowly it started coming back to me. The previous night I was out with my friends in a club and had too much to drink. Out of nowhere a fine young lad had helped me and my friends into a waiting cab. He had also taken the pains of directing the cab to our respective homes and paid for the cab fare as well. I tried to remember his face but all I could recall was his sweet nature and tall build. Later I called up my friends to inquire about their well-being and to ask about the stranger friend. None of us could fully recall what he looked like or even his name. Days passed by and we forgot all about him. Then one day when I was climbing up the stairs to my office, I felt terribly dizzy and breathless, got wobbly and fell down the stairs.
Unfortunately due to the jolt my cell phone got smashed to pieces and I could not call anyone. Later I was told that I have been diagnosed with congenital heart disease and was required to stay hospitalized for a while. One day, I was wondering as to who had saved my life and brought me to the hospital when my eyes connected with the twinkling eyes of my doctor. Staring at the faintly familiar face, I inquired about the incident and the person who had registered me here.
The gentleman told me that he had found me on the stairs of my office building and had rushed me to the hospital. When I got to know him better, I found that he was a
single doctor who was a renowned cardiologist at the hospital. He seemed to be a fun-loving single guy who was known frequent night clubs whenever possible as he loved to dance. Several days later he confessed that he was the one who had helped out my group of friends when we were drunk and dizzy that night. The
single doctor turned out to be my secret admirer who had happened to be at my office building when he saw me unconscious at the stairs that day. Gradually I began to love his caring demeanor and accepted that he had truly saved my heart.
